Paris Saint-Germain to rival Chelsea for Real Madrid loanee
Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race to sign Real Madrid loanee Achraf Hakimi, reports AS.
Hakimi is coming to the end of his two-year loan stint at Borussia Dortmund and his future at Madrid is still undecided.
The Morocco international has developed into one of the most exciting offensive full-backs in Europe in the last year and has already attracted interest from Chelsea.
Hakimi has just two years left to run on his current Madrid deal and they will have to cash in on him this summer in order to command maximum value.
Chelsea can now expect to face stiff competition from PSG for Hakimi's signature, with the Ligue 1 giants on the market for a new right-back.
Thomas Meunier is on course to leave PSG on a free transfer this summer when his current deal expires, having also let Serge Aurier leave the club in recent times.
Hakimi, who can play at right-back or on the right wing, has played a direct hand in 13 goals in 25 league appearances for Dortmund in 2019/20 (three goals, 10 assists).
