Teenage Turkish sensation drops hint about huge Liverpool move
Teenage Turkish attacker Abdulkadir Omur has hinted that a big money move to Liverpool to close to completion.
The Trabzonspor youngster is considered one of the hottest talents in Turkey and his stock has risen considerably having impressed this season.
Manchester City had been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old, but Premier League title rivals Liverpool appear to have stolen a march on City in the race to land Omur.
And the winger has talked up speculation linking him with a move to Anfield, with reports on Sunday suggesting the Reds were ready to sanction a £27m move for Omur.
“Liverpool are a great club, one of the greatest in the world. These offers are something Trabzonspor need to discuss,” Omur is quoted as saying by TEAMtalk via Turkish Football.
“If the club give the go ahead talks can be held.
“The clubs interests take precedence.
“I’ll do whatever is in the clubs best interests.”
Any move for Omur is dependent on Adam Lallana’s next move, with the England international struggling for consistency after a return to fitness.
