Bournemouth defender pens new deal

Bournemouth have announced Charlie Daniels has signed a new three-and-a-half year deal, keeping him at the club until June 2019.

Daniels, 29, has been a mainstay in Eddie Howe’s team since making the switch from Leyton Orient permanent in 2012 and his performances have been fantastic in the Premier League this season.

The left-back has been one of Bournemouth’s best players this season and Howe is delighted he has extended his stay.

“Charlie has been a model of consistency for me this season,” Howe told the club’s official website.

“He has been very, very impressive and really set the marker for us. Not only on match day also in training.

“He deserves this deal and hopefully it’s another step towards what will be a successful season for us.”

Daniels has been Bournemouth’s most creative outlet this season, registering at least two more assists than any other teammate in the Premier League this season (5).
