Tottenham join race for Gladbach sensation

Tottenham are among a number of suitors interested in signing Gladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus, according to Sport1 via TEAMtalk.

The Germany international has seen his stock soar since his breakthrough in 2018 with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund also keeping tabs on the Gladbach star.

Despite the arrival of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton over the summer, head coach Jose Mourinho is looking to strengthen his midfield further, with Neuhaus, and RB Leipzig's Marcel Sabizters, rumoured targets.

LaLiga giants Real Madrid are also monitoring the 23-year-old, who has scored three and provided four assists for top-four chasing Gladbach this term.

Neuhaus supposedly has a €40m release clause that can be triggered at the end of the season, which means Spurs are unlikely to make their move until the summer rather than spend big on the German maestro this month.

The highly rated Spurs target has started 16 of Gladbach's 18 league matches this season and his performances have helped Marco Rose's side rise to fifth in the table.
