Lazio agree personal terms with Tottenham target

Lazio have agreed personal terms with Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud but need to convince Chelsea to sell, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.

Giroud is desperate to leave Chelsea before Friday's deadline in order to salvage a place in France's squad for Euro 2020.

The France international has no future under Chelsea manager Frank Lampard but the Premier League side are hesistant to let him leave.

Chelsea will not stand in Giroud's way if they sign a replacement but they are really struggling to land a top transfer target.

The Blues have missed out on Moussa Dembele and Krzysztof Piatek so far this month and are currently in talks to sign Dries Mertens from Napoli.

Mertens has entered the final six months of his current Napoli deal but wants to become the club's all-time scorer.
