Everton are considering a sensational swoop for former manager David Moyes as a potential replacement for Ronald Koeman, reports the Sunday Mirror.
The Toffees are on a dire run of form having won only two of their last 12 competitive outings, despite heavy investment in the squad over the summer.
Koeman needs a positive result in today’s welcome of Arsenal or could face the sack from the Merseyside outfit, with the club out of the relegation zone on goal difference only.
Moyes, who spent 11 years at the Toffees helm before taking over at Manchester United in 2013, has been earmarked as a potential replacement for the Dutchman at Goodison Park.
The Scot has been out of work since his departure from Sunderland earlier in the year and has been identified by the Scottish FA as a potential successor for Gordon Strachan.
Despite unsuccessful stints at Real Sociedad and Sunderland, Moyes is still highly thought of at Everton and could be approached should Koeman be relieved of his duties.
