LaLiga striker waiting for Manchester United move

Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder has turned down a lucrative offer from China in order to secure a move to Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain, claims L’Equipe.

Chinese Super League outfit Beijing Guoan were willing to offer Ben Yedder huge wages in order to secure his services but the France international has turned down their advances.

Ben Yedder, 28, believes he is approaching his peak years and wants to secure a summer move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs this summer, with Sevilla also planning for life without the France international.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Ben Yedder this season but the Red Devils first need to sell Romelu Lukaku before lining up a new striker.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are willing to sell Lukaku this summer amid interest from Serie A duo Inter and Juventus but only if they recoup their full £75m investment.

United’s first-choice replacement for Lukaku is reportedly Lyon striker Moussa Dembele but Ben Yedder is keen on a move to Old Trafford and has a release clause of only £35.9m.

Ben Yedder is coming off his best ever league campaign in front of goal, having netted 18 goals in 35 league appearances last term.

In fact, Ben Yedder has reached double figures for goals in six of his last seven league campaigns.
