Juventus starlet cracks fibula

The Croatian federation have announced Juventus winger Marko Pjaca has suffered a cracked fibula while on international duty.

Pjaca was one of the brightest performers at Euro 2016 and his displays convinced Juventus to snap up the former Dinamo Zagreb forward.

However, the 21-year-old is now set for a period on the sidelines after scan results revealed a crack in his leg, although it is not completely broken.

“After attempting to train with his teammates on Monday, Pjaca felt a pain in his leg which existed even before the meet-up,” Croatia confirmed in a statement, via Football Italia.

“Today’s review of the MRI at Sv. Katarina hospital showed a fibular infraction, or cracked fibula which will rule him out for the Kosovo and Finland games.”

Pjaca has only featured in 50 minutes of league action spread over five substitute appearances for Juventus this season. Of players to have started one game at Euro 2016 no player required fewer minutes per successful dribble than Pjaca (every 10.1 minutes).
