Man City struggling to find buyers for Bernardo Silva

Manchester City have found no willing buyer for Bernardo Silva after demanding between £50-60m for his signature, claims The Daily Telegraph.

Silva came close to joining Barcelona 12 months ago and Pep Guardiola will not stand in his way this summer as he looks to raise money to fund his transfer plans.

The Premier League champions intend to sign both Harry Kane and Jack Grealish this summer but may need to spend more than £200m to do so.

City have no intention of matching Tottenham's £160m valuation of Kane but are prepared to shatter their club transfer record to land the England captain.

Guardiola's side are on course to raise around £100m from selling fringe players and academy graduates but still need more funds.

Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling have been linked with summer moves away but one player City are keen to offload is Silva.

The Portugal international has only been a first-team regular in one of his four seasons at City and last year he was limited to just 24 Premier League starts.

Silva has played a direct hand in 45 goals in 131 Premier League appearances for City and was the only attacker (15+ starts) in the division last season with a pass success rate in excess of 90%.
