Liverpool are considering a move for Spartak Moscow wideman Quincy Promes next month as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his attack, reports the Daily Mirror.
Klopp is eager to bolster his offensive options in the New Year, with Sadio Mane set to jet off for the Africa Cup of Nations next month with Senegal, while Philippe Coutinho’s recover from an ankle injury has been delayed leaving the Reds boss short of attacking options.
The Liverpool manager had hoped to secure the services of Julian Draxler from Wolfsburg, though missed out on the Germany international to French giants PSG.
With Christian Pulisic expected to remain at Borussia Dortmund, Klopp could explore the possibility of signing Promes from Spartak Moscow.
The 24-year-old Dutchman has been impressive for the Russian Premier League this season, with six goals and six assists contributing to a fine WhoScored rating of 7.57.
Promes’ versatility across the frontline is a bonus to Klopp, with the Netherlands international able to play on either flank or as the focal point in attack.
