Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin is on the verge of joining Chinese Super League club Jiangsu Suning, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Guarin, 29, has been heavily linked with a move to Asia in recent days and reports have gathered pace with the Colombia international reportedly set to agree a four-year deal worth a staggering £5.7m-a-year.
The Chinese Super League is one of most fastest emerging leagues in the world and they have already been signing some of the biggest players in Europe in recent years.
AC Milan’s Luiz Adriano and Roma’s Gervinho also have offers on the table from teams in China, with Guarin seemingly set to join the likes of Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka in being lured to China by the immense riches on offer.
With the suggested £11m-£14m being commanded, it would allow Inter to make a move for reported target Roberto Soriano.
Since joining Inter in 2011, no teammate has tested the goalkeeper more with shots from outside the box than Guarin in Serie A (50).
