Arsenal star becoming an outsider in dressing room

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is finding himself increasingly alienated from the rest of the squad following his rift with manager Arsene Wenger.

Sanchez’s attitude has reportedly deteriorated in recent weeks as a summer exit beckons for the Chile international after failing to land a new contract on his terms.

The former Barcelona ace was dropped to the bench for Arsenal’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at the start of the month after storming out of training in the week building up to the match and now his teammates are siding with Wenger.

“Alexis is being moody and disruptive and it’s getting to the rest of the squad,” a dressing room source told The Daily Mirror. “The players are getting fed-up with it. If it came to a straight choice between which side to choose, there is no doubt they would back the manager.”

Despite Sanchez’s efforts are being called into question, his contribution to the side has been invaluable this season. The Chilean forward has scored 17 goals and registered nine assists in 26 appearances in the Premier League this season and is currently the second highest player in the Premier League (7.85).
