Paris Saint-Germain have turned their attentions back to Fabinho despite being told earlier in the summer he would not be allowed to join, claims Get French Football.
Unai Emery’s side are determined to sign a new defensive midfielder this summer and are even willing to sell Blaise Matuidi and Grzegorz Krychowiak to accommodate a new arrival.
Monaco told their Ligue 1 rivals to look elsewhere for a new midfielder after they expressed an interest in Fabinho, but PSG are ready to try their luck once again after failing to sign Porto ace Danilo Pereira.
The Portuguese giants are only willing to sell the 25-year-old if his €60m (£54.9m) release clause is met and PSG have no interest in paying that much and have now returned for Fabinho.
Given Emery’s side are also looking to prize Kylian Mbappe away from the Ligue 1 champions, it remains to be seen whether Leonardo Jardim’s side would even consider changing their stance on Fabinho.
Since August 2015, Fabinho has scored at least one more penalty than other player in Ligue 1 (13).
