Leicester City failed with an audacious attempt to sign former World Player of the Year Ronaldinho in January, according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
Ronaldinho, 35, is currently without a club after being released by Brazilian side Fluminense at the end of 2015 and has reportedly attracted offers from around the world.
The ex-Brazil international is said to have received a shock offer from Premier League leaders Leicester but turned the move down in favour of landing a lucrative contract with a Chinese Super League club.
Ronaldinho has only played in 39 first-team matches since August 2010, but he would have been blockbuster for the Foxes as they look to land their first top-flight league title in their 132-year club history.
