Swansea turn to Bayern for new manager

Bayern Munich assistant manager Paul Clement is the new favourite to succeed Bob Bradley as Swansea manager, according to BBC Sport.

Clement, 44, has spent the last six months as assistant manager to Carlo Ancelotti at Bayern after being sacked as Derby manager in February.

The 44-year-old has enjoyed immense success as Ancelotti’s No.2 at spells at Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in the past and is now tipped for a return to management despite his first attempt at Derby ending in disaster.

Swansea appear to have no plan in place to replace Bradley, who was sacked earlier this week after just 11 games in charge of the Premier League strugglers.

Former Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs and Wales manager Chris Coleman have already been ruled out of the running to replace the American and the Liberty Stadium, while Swansea are also considering a move for former Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett.

Clement failed to win any of his last six matches in charge of Derby and finished with a win ratio of 42.4%.
