Manchester United are now at the front of the queue to re-sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, according to The Guardian.
The 23-year-old left United for free in 2012 and joined Juventus before developing into one of the best midfielders in the world.
Pogba has been heavily linked with a move away from the Serie A champions in recent years with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea among those to have been credited with an interest in the France international.
Pep Guardiola had been interested in bringing Pogba to Manchester City this summer but has no ruled out a move for the Frenchman paving the way for United to make their move, with Jose Mourinho keen to bring him back to Old Trafford.
Financial restraints will mean Barcelona cannot afford to meet Juventus’ £78.1m valuation of the midfielder, while Madrid pose United’s biggest threat in their pursuit this summer.
Pogba finished last season as the highest rated player in Serie A (7.81) after scoring eight goals, registering 12 assists and finishing with eight WhoScored.com Man of the Match awards. His performances also saw him crowned in the European Team of the Season.

No they aren't.
@What4 Agreed. These articles about Pogba (and every other top player in the world) leaving for England are seriously irritating. Pogba is very happy with Juventus and is only likely to leave when there's an opportunity to go to a club that would truly take him to another level (which isn't United or City right now). My guess is he'll wait for Barca or possibly Real. People shouldn't discount how happy he is at Juve and the Juventus project.
