Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is not stalling on a new long-term deal despite reports suggesting he is growing unsettled at Old Trafford, reports Manchester Evening News.
Rashford, 19, enjoyed a breathtaking maiden campaign for United last season after breaking onto the scene under Louis van Gaal but has struggled to reproduce the same type of performances this time around.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s arrival in the summer has forced the England international to accommodate his game to the left flank for the majority of the season and there had been suggestions the teenager was stalling over signing a new deal due to what was cited as a lack of playing time.
However, Rashford has played 31 times for United this season across all competitions and has received glowing comments from manager Jose Mourinho in recent weeks.
Not only that, but Rashford only signed a new four-year deal in May and is thought to be the future of the club despite his struggles this season.
Rashford hasn’t scored in the Premier League since September and his only goals in the last four months came against Championship side Reading in the FA Cup.
