Graziano Pelle has been excluded from Italy’s squad to face Macedonia on Sunday, according to Football Italia.
The 31-year-old stormed past Italy manager Giampiero Ventura without shaking his hand after being replaced by Ciro Immobile on the hour mark against Spain on Thursday night.
Italy were losing 1-0 at that point but finished the stronger side following Pelle’s withdrawal before equalising with less than 10 minutes to play.
Reports surfaced suggesting the former Southampton striker, who is now playing in China, would be dropped for their next World Cup qualifier at the weekend and they now appear to be true.
