Chalobah set for new deal at Chelsea

Nathaniel Chalobah is set to be offered a new deal at Chelsea after impressing head coach Antonio Conte, reports the Sunday Mirror.

The 21-year-old recently made his debut for the Blues following a series of loan spells and has made an impression on Conte, with a contract extension a possible reward.

Chalobah has just 18 months left to run on his current deal at Stamford Bridge and the Blues are keen to tie down one of their academy graduates.

While he has made just two sub appearances in England’s top tier this term, Chalobah has gained a respectable WhoScored rating of 6.57.

The youngster provided the assist for Victor Moses’ goal in Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Leicester last weekend and will hope his recent cameos earn him more playing time under Conte.

Chalobah is expected to feature from the bench for Chelsea when they face off against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon as the Blues look to make it three consecutive league wins.
