Clement believes Tottenham youngster could cut it at Real Madrid
Swansea City manager Paul Clement believes that Tottenham youngster Dele Alli has what it takes to succeed at La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Real Madrid have twice raided Spurs for their best players, first for Luka Modric and then Gareth Bale and have been linked with a move for the 20-year-old.
Alli has again excelled in the Premier League for Tottenham this term, with a return of 14 goals the joint-best return of those aged 21 and under in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
And Clement, who worked at Real Madrid as an assistant for Carlo Ancelotti, feels the England international has the means to succeed at the Bernabeu.

“Why can’t he make the step up? He’s still so young,” Clement is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.
“All the best players get linked with Real Madrid, Eden Hazard is another one who is being linked at the moment.
“Like any player, the more consistent you are, and you’re challenging at the top, then you’re going to be of interest to arguably bigger clubs.”
