Xherdan Shaqiri is reportedly willing to swap the San Siro for Stoke City, as long as the Potters allow him to move on to a bigger club at the end of the season.
Mark Hughes’ side are currently locked in negotiations with Inter after tabling a bid believed to be the region of £12m, but have reportedly hit a roadblock in persuading Shaqiri to join the club.
However, the Potters may have made a breakthrough after offering an unusual pledge that will allow their potential club transfer record to leave after just a year at the Britannia Stadium, if a side in the Champions League makes an offer.
Despite only signing him in January, Inter are looking to offload the 23-year-old to offset the books after lavishing in excess of £40m so far this summer with more arrivals expected.
