Lazio are weighing up a move for 18-year-old Toulouse goalkeeper Alban Lafont, according to Calciomercato, via Football Italia.
Current No.1 goalkeeper Federico Marchetti has entered the final 18 months of his existing deal with Lazio and has been tipped with a summer exit, which would mean Simone Inzaghi’s side would need to sign a replacement.
Lazio have also earmarked Genoa shotstopper Mattia Perin, who is currently out for the rest of the season, but the most intriguing option in their sights is teenage sensation Lafont, who has drawn similar attention to AC Milan starlet Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Lafont become the youngest goalkeeper to ever feature in Ligue 1 when he made his first-team debut for Toulouse last season and the France U-18 international hasn’t looked back since.
Since making his debut in March 2016, Lafont has kept 10 clean sheets in 32 appearances in Ligue 1, only four goalkeepers have kept more in that time.
