Juventus set to bid €30m for Bayern Munich outcast

Juventus are set for talks with Bayern Munich over the signing of out of favour winger Douglas Costa, reports Tuttosport, via Football Italia

Costa dropped down the pecking order under Carlo Ancelotti last season and his first-team opportunities will only be more restricted next year following the arrival of Serge Gnabry over the weekend.

Juventus directors are poised to fly out to Munich in the next few days to discuss the possibility of signing Costa with a view to tabling a €30m (£26.5m) bid for the Brazil international, which would see the Bundesliga giants recoup their original investment.

The 26-year-old was a key player for Pep Guardiola during his final season at Bayern but was forced to spend most of last season on the bench after Ancelotti favoured the experience of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery in wide areas.

Despite only starting 14 league matches last season, no player has completed more dribbles in the last two Bundesliga campaigns than the former Shakhtar Donetsk winger (148).
