Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is interested in signing versatile Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, claims The Daily Mirror.
Pochettino faces the prospect of losing both Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen at the end of the season.
Vertonghen’s contract expires in the summer, while Alderweireld is refusing to commit his long-term future to the club.
Nathan Ake has already been earmarked as a potential replacement for Vertonghen and now Pochettino is also interested in Milenkovic.
The 21-year-old, who is also on Manchester United’s radar, can play at right-back and centre-back.
Milenkovic plays centre-back for Serbia but has started eight league games for Fiorentina at right-back this season.
The Serbian defender has proven capable in both boxes this season, netting two league goals for Fiorentina.
In fact, only Marco Benassi has scored more league goals (3) for Fiorentina than Milenkovic this season.
