Sancho open to Manchester City return

Manchester City have the first right of refusal if Jadon Sancho leaves Borussia Dortmund and the England international is not opposed to the idea of returning to his boyhood club, claims Bleacher Report.

Pep Guardiola’s side reluctantly saw Sancho turn down a lucrative contract to join Dortmund in the summer of 2017 and the 18-year-old has been a revelation for the Bundesliga giants.

Sancho realised first-team chances would come at a premium if he stayed at City and his gamble to move to Germany has paid off, even culminating in three England caps this season.

The teenager winger is now being touted with big money moves back to England following his impressive start to the season but it has been revealed that City have the first option to sign him.

Dortmund rewarded Sancho with a new long-term deal at the start of October and believe the youngster has everything to become a £100m-rated footballer in the near future.

Despite leaving City just over 12 months ago, Sancho did not depart on bad terms and would not rule out returning to the Etihad in the future.

Sancho has played a direct hand in 10 goals in 11 league appearances for Dortmund this season despite the fact he has only started five times.

In fact, only AC Milan star Suso (8) has provided more assists than Sancho (6) in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
