Burnley will look to sign Aston Villa midfielder Ashley Westwood if they are promoted back to the Premier League this season, according to TeamTALK.
Sean Dyche’s side are currently top of the Championship on goal difference with two games remaining and the Clarets have already started to draw up a list of possible transfer targets for their Premier League return.
With Villa already resigned to relegation to the Championship next season a number of their players will be up for grabs in the summer and Burnley have reportedly identified Westwood as a player they’d like to bolster their midfield with.
Westwood scored more goals in a 39-minute spell against Southampton on Saturday than he had managed in his previous 5,264 minutes of league action combined.
