Everton are prepared to part ways with club record signing Romelu Lukaku should they receive a fair price for the striker, according to his agent.
Lukaku, 22, joined Everton from Chelsea for £28m in 2013 having impressed on a season-long loan spell the year before.
However, the striker has never been afraid to voice his ambitions of playing Champions League football and his agent, Mino Raiola, claims manager Roberto Martinez has agreed to allow Lukaku go for the right price.
“Lukaku to PSG? We had a discussion with Martinez; he said he would let him leave Everton if a good offer comes in. But talking about the transfer window now makes no sense,” Raiola is quoted as saying by Get French Football News.
Raiola, who is also the agent of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Mario Balotelli, also claims that the Belgium international wouldn’t even be at Everton had he represented the striker prior to his move.
“If we had met each other earlier, he wouldn’t have played for Everton,” Raiola continued.
“Maybe somewhere else, maybe he would still be at Chelsea. I want to be clear” Romelu is a better striker than Diego Costa and could have done the same as the Spaniard did this season.
“But the Chelsea directors have decided to buy another star than giving confidence to one of their young boys.”
Since first playing for Everton at the start of the 2013/14 season, only five strikers have scored more goals than Lukaku in the Premier League (30).
