Juventus are considering a move for Real Madrid defender Danilo at the end of the season, according to Tuttosport.
With Juan Cuadrado wanted back at Chelsea by incoming manager Antonio Conte, and Patrice Evra and Martin Caceres’ long-term futures both in doubt, Juventus are expected to strengthen defensively in the summer.
Massimiliano Allegri has already set his sights on signing a new right-back to give Stephan Lichtsteiner some competition for the position, with Mattia De Sciglio also on their radar.
However, Juventus could favour a move for Madrid full-back Danilo, who has struggled to adapt to the high demands of being a Galactico since signing from Porto last summer.
Being a local player, Dani Carvajal is currently favoured more by the home fans over Danilo and Juventus are monitoring the situation. Allegri’s side could even use the defender’s close relationship with Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, who was a teammate with Danilo at Porto, to their advantage in any potential swoop.
Despite his indifferent form, only Marcelo (62) has completed as many tackles as Danilo of Madrid players in the league this season, despite the former Porto defender featuring in nearly 400 fewer minutes than his international teammate.
