- Hibernian manager David Gray named two changes to the Hibs team that was victorious on derby day with a 2-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle on Boxing Day, before a sole goal success over Kilmarnock at Easter Road.
- Goalkeeper Jordan Smith kept his place between the sticks. Jack Iredale, Rocky Bushiri and Lewis Miller, who replaced Warren O'Hora, made up the Hibees' backline. Chris Cadden remained at right wing-back, as his brother Nicky was on the left flank.
- Club captain Joe Newell and Nectarios Traintis were chosen in midfield once again. Josh Campbell supported Martin Boyle and Junior Hoilett in the Hibs attack, as Elie Youan dropped out of the squad and derby day hero Dwight Gayle was on the bench.
