- Rangers boss Philippe Clement made two changes after the Gers clinched an emphatic victory in France with a 4-1 win against Nice on Thursday night, before a sole goal was enough to see off St Johnstone in Perth on Sunday.
- Jack Butland continued in goal behind a back four of club captain James Tavernier who replaced Dujon Sterling, John Souttar, Robin Pröpper and Jefte. Connor Barron and Nico Raskin sat in front of the Gers backline once again.
- Ianis Hagi took Mohamed Diomande's place in the starting XI, joining Nedim Bajrami and Vaclav Cerny in support of lone striker Hamza Igamane who netted twice in France last Thursday night.
- Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes named three changes to the Killie team that lost 1-0 to St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park after the international break, before they salvaged a 1-1 draw with Dundee at Rugby Park on Saturday afternoon.
- Robby McCrorie continued in goal behind an unchanged defence consisting of Lewis Mayo, Joe Wright and Robbie Deas. Corrie Ndaba continued on the left hand-side, as Gary Mackay-Steven was handed a start on the right-hand side at Danny Armstrong's expense.
- Brad Lyons remained in the middle of the park, as Liam Donnelly missed their match at the weekend due to suspension so Fraser Murray took his place. Bruce Anderson replaced David Watson as Killie went three up front with Marley Watkins and Kyle Vassell.
