St. Mirren
Dundee United
- St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson made two changes after the Buddies beat Hearts 2-1 in Paisley on their return to league action, before Saints lost away to Motherwell at Fir Park by the same scoreline last Saturday.
- An unchanged back three of Richard Taylor, Alex Gogic and Marcus Fraser were joined by Killian Phillips, club captain Mark O'Hara and Caolan Boyd-Munce who remained in midfield.
- Scott Tanser started at left wing-back, at Jaden Brown's expense, but was sent off at Fir Park. Shaun Rooney is being investigated by Saints due to an off-field matter, so Elvis Bwomono took his place on the right-hand side. Mikael Mandron and Toyosi Olusanya lead the line for the Buddies once again.
- Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin named two changes to the Terrors team that crashed out of the Scottish League Cup by losing 2-1 away to Motherwell, before they left it late to nick a point from Kilmarnock in a crazy 3-3 draw last weekend.
- Jack Walton continued in goal behind an unchanged back three of Ross Graham, Declan Gallagher and Emmanuel Adegboyega. Will Ferry and Luca Stephenson continued at left wing-back and right wing-back respectively.
- Craig Sibbald was joined in the middle of the park by Ross Docherty. Kristijan Trapanovski missed the trip to Ayrshire through injury, so Sam Dalby joined David Babunski in supporting lone striker Louis Moult as opposed to Jort van der Sande.
Dundee Utd have scored in 5 consecutive away games while both teams have scored in 5 of St Mirrens last 6.
