- Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes named three changes to the Killie team that clinched a sole goal success over Hearts at Rugby Park, before a share of the spoils with Motherwell at Fir Park last Friday night under the lights.
- Kieran O'Hara replaced Robby McCrorie in goal. Robbie Deas missed the trip to Motherwell but the back three had all played against Hearts the weekend prior. David Watson entered the Killie midfield to replace the suspended defender.
- Fraser Murray, goalscorer Liam Polworth, Brad Lyons and Bruce Anderson made up the rest of the five-man midfield. The only other alteration saw club captain Kyle Vassell come back in for Bobby Wales to partner Marley Watkins in attack.
- Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin named four changes to the Dons team that was held at home in a 1-1 draw with St Johnstone, before they lost 3-1 to Hibernian at Pittodrie despite taking the lead last weekend.
- Ross Doohan continued in goal behind Gavin Molloy and Slobodan Rubezic. Nicky Devlin replaced Jack Milne at right-back, as Jack MacKenzie also came back into the Dons defence at James McGarry's expense.
- Club captain Graeme Shinnie joined Sivert Nilsen in the middle of the park. Topi Keskinen - who opened the scoring - replaced Shayden Morris on the right hand side of midfield. Leighton Clarkson and Jamie McGrath supported lone striker Ester Sokler, who replaced Kevin Nisbet to spearhead the Aberdeen attack.
