- Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers named five changes to the Celts side that won the Scottish League Cup on penalties after a 3-3 thriller against Rangers at Hampden, before a disappointing goalless draw at Tannadice against Dundee United.
- Kasper Schmeichel continued in goal as left-back Greg Taylor was the only defender to keep his spot. Alistair Johnston was replaced by Anthony Ralston at right-back, as Liam Scales and Stephen Welsh took Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty's places.
- Reo Hatate and club captain Callum McGregor were joined in midfield by Luke McCowan as opposed to Paulo Bernardo. Hyun-Jun Yang took Nicolas Kühn's place to join Daizen Maeda and Kyogo Furuhasi in the Hoops' frontline.
- Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell named a sole change to the Steelmen side that won a frantic fixture 4-3 against Dundee United, before they were held at home by Kilmarnock in a 1-1 draw at Fir Park on Friday night.
- Aston Oxborough remained in goal behind Shane Blaney, Dan Casey - who was sent off - and goalscorer Liam Gordon in the back three. Marvin Kaleta continued at right wing-back, with Steve Seddon remaining at left wing-back.
