- Simo Valakari named one change to the Saints side that were victorious in his long-awaited dugout debut which ended in a 2-1 Tayside derby victory over Dundee at Dens Park, before a 3-1 defeat to St Mirren in their midweek match.
- Kyle Cameron replaced the injured Andre Raymond at left-back to join Jack Sanders, Lewis Neilson - who is ineligible to face his parent club this weekend - and Drey Wright in the back four behind Ross Sinclair in goal.
- Jason Holt remained alongside Matt Smith and Sven Sprangler in the trio of midfielders that sat in front of the back four. Nicky Clark continued to support Benji Kimpioka and Adama Sidibeh up front.
- Hearts boss Neil Critchley named two changes after the Jambos left it late to equalise in a 1-1 draw in the Edinburgh derby on Sunday, before they took the lead but lost 2-1 to Kilmarnock at Tynecastle in their midweek match.
- Craig Gordon continued in goal behind Kye Rowles and Frankie Kent. Adam Forrester took Daniel Oyegoke's place at right-back with James Penrice remaining at left-back. Cammy Devlin partnered Malachi Boateng in the middle of the park.
- Alan Forrest, who fired the Jambos ahead on Wednesday night against Killie, joined Blair Spittal in support of strike duo Kenneth Vargas and Lawrence Shankland as derby hero and teenage talent James Wilson was left on the bench.
