Team News

Hibernian
St. Mirren
  • Hibernian manager David Gray named one change to the Hibs team that drew in Dingwall against Ross County in a 0-0 stalemate in their match last midweek, before they were held at home by Dundee United in a controversial 1-1 draw.
  • Josef Bursik continued in goal behind an unchanged back four of Lewis Miller, Marvin Ekpiteta, Warren O'Hora and Jordan Obita on Sunday afternoon at Easter Road against the Terrors.
  • Kwon Hyeok-Kyu joined Nectarios Triantis and Joe Newell as Hibs opted for a three-man midfield. Élie Youan made way as Martin Boyle and Junior Hoilett supported lone striker Mykola Kuharevich - who was sent off - in attack.
  • St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson named just one change to the Saints eleven that beat St Johnstone 3-1 in Paisley last Wednesday night, before they were held at home by Ross County in a goalless draw last Saturday afternoon.
  • Ellery Balcombe continued in goal behind Richard Taylor - who replaced Charles Dunne - Alex Gogic and Marcus Fraser. Elvis Bwomono continued at right wing-back and Scott Tanser remained at left wing-back.
  • Killian Phillips started alongside club captain Mark O'Hara in the middle of the park. Former Hibee James Scott accompanied Greg Kiltie in support of Toyosi Olusanya up front.

Prediction

  • Hibernian, who are sat bottom of the Scottish Premiership table, take on a St Mirren side sat in seventh at Easter Road in one of three league fixtures on Saturday afternoon.
  • Hibernian's rotten run against Dundee United at Easter Road continued, as their last top-flight victory at home to the Terrors came back in November 2012, with Hibs now winless in seven games against United in Edinburgh. Having won just one of their 11 Scottish Premiership matches so far this season, the Hibees will be hopeful that their season can be salvaged starting on Saturday.
  • St Mirren's strong record against Ross County in Paisley continued, but not in the manner that they would have hoped for. They're now unbeaten in eight Scottish Premiership matches at home to the Staggies, winning five, since April 2015. They have now kept a clean sheet in six consecutive home matches against County, but will be disappointed that they couldn't find a breakthrough.
  • St Mirren have beaten Hibernian 3-0 in their last two league meetings, home and away, and the Buddies will want to take advantage of the Hibees' offensive absentees here.
