  • Hibernian manager David Gray named four changes to the Hibs team that lost 2-1 to St Mirren at Easter Road before the international break, as they were destroyed by Dundee in a 4-1 loss at Dens Park on Saturday evening.
  • Josef Bursik continued in goal behind a back four of Chris Cadden, Warren O'Hora, Rocky Bushiri, who replaced Marvin Ekpiteta, and Jordan Obita who was sent off against the Dee at the weekend.
  • Kwon Hyeok-Kyu made way for Josh Campbell to accompany Joe Newell and Nectarios Triantis in the middle of the park. Nicky Cadden replaced Martin Boyle on the right, as Elie Youan moved to the left to support lone striker Mykola Kuharevich with Junior Hoilett sat among the substitutes on Saturday.
  • Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin named three changes to the Dons team that demolished Dundee 4-1 at Pittodrie before the break, as their return to league action saw their first Scottish Premiership defeat this season in a 2-1 loss to St Mirren.
  • Dimitar Mitov continued in goal behind the unchanged back four of Jack MacKenzie, Gavin Molloy, Slobodan Rubezic and Nicky Devlin. Sivert Nilsen replaced Ante Palaversa to join club captain Graeme Shinnie in midfield.
  • The other two changes came in the wide areas as Duk and Topi Keskinen were replaced by Jamie McGrath and Shayden Morris, as they joined Leighton Clarkson in support of lone striker Ester Sokler.

Prediction

  • Second-placed Aberdeen travel to Edinburgh to take on Hibernian, bottom of the Scottish Premiership pile, at Easter Road on Tuesday night with the two teams 23 points apart.
  • Hibs have played a league match more than their midweek opponents, but have won just one league game so far this season and are winless in four league matches at Easter Road. The Hibees are looking to avoid suffering successive Scottish Premiership defeats to the Dons for the first time since November 2020, where they lost three on the spin against Aberdeen.
  • The Dons finally tasted defeat for the first time in the Scottish Premiership this season, as they lost to St Mirren in Paisley with their unbeaten league run coming to an end after 11 games. After Celtic defeated Hearts at Tynecastle, Aberdeen fell three points behind the Hoops in the league table. However, they haven't won successive league visits to Easter Road against Hibernian since May 2019.
  • There's a lot of anger beginning to build at Easter Road among Hibs fans, so the Dons will hope to leave Leith with all three points as Aberdeen attempt to get back to winning ways.
