- Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes made two changes after Killie were held at home by Hibs in a 1-1 draw, before they picked up a point in Paisley thanks to a 2-2 stalemate against St Mirren at the SMISA Stadium a fortnight ago.
- Kieran O'Hara continued in goal behind a back four of Corrie Ndada, Stuart Findlay and Joe Wright - who was sent off against Saints - were joined in defence by Jack Burroughs, who replaced Lewis Mayo at right-back.
- Matty Kennedy and Danny Armstrong continued on the flanks, with Liam Polworth and David Watson in the middle of the park. Kyle Vassell was joined by Marley Watkins, who took Bruce Anderson's place up front, who fired Killie in front in Paisley.
- Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin named just one change to the Terrors team that lost to Rangers by a sole goal at Tannadice in their last league game, before crashing out of the Scottish League Cup by losing 2-1 to Motherwell at Fir Park.
