Team News

Zenit
Dinamo Moscow
  • Defender Nuraly Alip has been recovering from a recent injury and hasn’t been training with the team. The Kazakhstan international is a doubt for Saturday’s important match.
  • Brazilian defender Rodrigão and midfielder Ilzat Akhmetov are back in training after recovering from their respective injuries and will be available for selection next time out.
  • Maksim Glushenkov is the man of the moment at Saint Petersburg after scoring six goals in the first three league matches of the season.
  • Goalkeeper Igor Leshchuk and defender Roberto Fernández missed last weekend’s match due to injury and are likely to miss out here as well.
  • Defender Ivan Lepsky lost a tooth after a collision last time out at Samara, but will probably be once again available for selection here.
  • Vyacheslav Grulyov has been recovering from a fractured tibia and will be out for an undisclosed period of time.

Prediction

  • FC Zenit hammered FC Rostov 5-0 last time out and are going through an excellent moment of form. Sergey Semak’s men are slight favourites to win here.
  • Dynamo won all their league matches so far this season and are at the top of the RPL table alongside FC Zenit. On a good day, the Moscow outfit might cause the home side a major upset on what will surely be a very close match.
