Prediction

  • Hosts Utrecht currently sit in second place with 22 points, five points behind table-toppers PSV after eight matches. They extended their undefeated start to the season to eight games (7 wins, 1 draw, 0 losses) by winning their last Eredivisie match 1-0 at Euroborg against Groningen.
  • Feyenoord, on the other hand, achieved a commanding 5-1 victory over Go Ahead Eagles at De Adelaarshorst in their most recent league match, maintaining their unbeaten run this season at eight games (4 wins, 4 draws, 0 losses), which places them in fourth with 16 points.
  • In their last Eredivisie encounter, Feyenoord triumphed over Utrecht 4-2 at Stadion Feijenoord. Igor Paixão opened the scoring for Feyenoord in the 36th minute, with goals contributed by Dávid Hancko and Leo Sauer. Othmane Boussaid and Sam Lammers managed to score for the Domstedelingen.
  • Feyenoord has dominated Utrecht in recent matches, remaining unbeaten in the last five Eredivisie fixtures against them (4 wins, 1 draw). Utrecht is seeking their first league victory over Feyenoord since August 2021. During this unbeaten streak, Feyenoord has outscored Utrecht 15-6.
  • Key players for this season include Utrecht's Noah Ohio, who leads the team with three goals. For Feyenoord, Quinten Timber and Ayase Ueda have also been significant attacking threats, each contributing three goals.
  • At Stadion Galgenwaard this season, Utrecht has earned all 12 available points in four Eredivisie matches, scoring nine goals and conceding five. They are currently on a four-match home winning streak dating back to August 11 against PEC Zwolle. Meanwhile, Feyenoord remains unbeaten in away league matches this season, with two wins and three draws, and they are looking to extend a 17-match unbeaten streak on the road (12 wins, 5 draws). Their last away defeat was in October 2023 against Twente.

  • Carranza $$

  • Lotomb is out for Feyenoord and Ueda is also expected to be sidelined. Most commonly they will be replaced by Beelend and Carranza. Feyenoord has a strong midfield at the moment with Timber, Hwang and Milambo. I think a narrow 1-2 win but 1-1 also very likely. Feyenoord will have a lot of self confidence after beating Benfica midweek. Utrecht has the best start ever and they will want to put pressure on Feyenoord. Best to check the first couple of minutes if you plan to bet on the result.
