San Lorenzo continue to languish towards the bottom of the league but an unbeaten return to league action will be something they will cling to as they search for momentum.
The loss of Adam Bareiro in the forward line is a significant loss for San Lorenzo so their expectations of a quick revival may now be more measured as a result.
Newell's Old Boys have had a similarly impressive return following the international break and a consistent line-up in no doubt is a key factor towards that.
Just two goals scored so far this campaign for Newell's Old Boys is a real disappointment but the defensive resilience of consecutive clean sheets will no doubt be important.
