  • John Tolkin is a game-time decision as he's dealing with a groin issue and fitness due to missing the preseason.

Prediction

  • Houston just can't catch a break with injuries so far this season. We can add Griffin Dorsey to the list, although it's looking like it isn't a long-term ailment. Houston was able to advance to the Round of 16 in the Concacaf Champions Cup after advancing on away goals against St. Louis City. Houston did rotate in the mid-week match, so we should see a close-to-preferred squad this weekend.
  • RBNY had their chances, but just like last season struggled to score in the 0-0 draw against Nashville. RBNY dominated the expected goals for the match leading 1.48-0.12, but strikers Dante Vanzeir and Elias Manoel couldn't convert any chances. The team travels to Houston in search of a positive result against a Houston team that has had a really congested schedule to start the season.
