- Stephen Robinson named two changes to the St Mirren side that was knocked out of the Scottish Cup by Celtic as the Hoops won 2-0 in Paisley, before they fell to a sole-goal defeat away at Livingston in the Scottish Premiership last weekend.
- Charles Dunne accompanied Marcus Fraser and Alex Gogic in the Buddies' back three once again. Kwon Hyeok-kyu didn't feature against his parent club Celtic but took Keanu Baccus' place in midfield to partner Caolan Boyd-Munce.
- Scott Tanser and Elvis Bwomono continued at left wing-back and right wing-back respectively. Greg Kiltie supported Mikael Mandron and James Scott, replacing Lewis Jamieson, in the Saints' attack.
- St Johnstone boss Craig Levein named five changes to the Saints side that lost their midweek match at McDiarmid Park 1-0 to Hearts, before a 2-1 defeat to Dundee at Dens Park on Sunday.
- Ryan McGowan returned to the Saints' back three, joining club captain Liam Gordon and Andy Considine, at Kerr Smith's expense. Luke Robinson and David Keltjens continued at left wing-back and right wing-back respectively.
- Dan Phillips returned in the middle of the park, taking Oludare Olufunwa's place in the team. Connor Smith started alongside Matt Smith, in support of Adama Sidibeh in attack as Benjamin Kimpioka dropped onto the bench.
