Team News

St. Johnstone
Livingston
  • St Johnstone boss Craig Levein named five changes to the Saints side that suffered a 2-0 defeat to St Mirren in Paisley at the weekend, before a victory over Aberdeen by the same scoreline on Wednesday night.
  • Ryan McGowan and David Keltjens entered the Saints' back four, as Andy Considine and Kerr Smith dropped out of the defence. Sven Sprangler replaced Graham Carey in the middle of the park.
  • Tony Gallacher and Adama Sidibeh also made way for Diallang Jaiyesimi and Benjamin Kimpioka, who sealed the deal with Saints' second goal, to join Nicky Clark - who fired Saints in front - from the spot.
  • Davie Martindale named three changes to the Livingston team that lost a big basement battle 3-2 to relegation rivals Ross County in Dingwall at the weekend, before a 3-1 loss to Motherwell in midweek.
  • Sean Kelly replaced Mo Sangare at left-back to join Ayo Obileye, Michael Nottingham and Jamie Brandon in the back four. Daniel MacKay entered the right-hand side of midfield, replacing Stephen Kelly.
  • Bruce Anderson was at the double in Dingwall and he took Andrew Shinnie's place in the team to partner Tete Yengi - who fired Livi in front on Wednesday night - in attack against Motherwell.

Prediction

  • Two of the Scottish Premiership's bottom three meet as St Johnstone host Livingston in Perth on Saturday afternoon.
  • Saints had failed to score in four of their last five games against Aberdeen, so laid some demons to rest as they grabbed just a second league win away from home in the current campaign. They've only won four league matches in Perth this season, two in November and two in December. Here's a solid chance to grab a fifth, despite drawing home and away with Livi this season.
  • Livingston are now cut adrift at the bottom of the Scottish Premiership, having lost back-to-back games against relegation rivals Ross County and Motherwell in midweek. They will take some consolation from the fact that they've got lots of basement battles to come against fellow bottom-six teams. But seven points behind the Staggies, ten games to go, Livi are running out of games.
  • St Johnstone could continue to ascend up the Scottish Premiership table, if they clinched a first league win over Livingston this season.
