- Davie Martindale named four changes to the Livingston team that fell to a defeat up north away to Aberdeen 2-1 on Wednesday night, before Celtic swept them aside on Saturday 2-0 at Parkhead.
- Jack Hamilton replaced Shamal George between the sticks. Ayo Obileye was the only defender to retain his place, as Tom Parkes and Luiyi De Lucas took Mikey Devlin and Michael Nottingham's places in the back three.
- The only other alteration saw Kurtis Guthrie, who ended Livi's goal drought of just under two months, make way for Bruce Anderson to start as the Lions' sole striker at Celtic Park.
- St Johnstone boss Craig Levein named four changes to the Saints team that fell to a 2-0 defeat against Rangers at Ibrox, before it was more away day despair as they lost 2-1 to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
- Ryan McGowan returned to the Saints defence, at Andy Considine's expense, to join club captain Liam Gordon and Luke Robinson. Tony Gallacher took Oludare Olufunwa's spot in the team to start at left wing-back.
- Graham Carey came back into midfield, as Sven Sprangler dropped to the bench, after being the matchwinner the weekend before. Chris Kane replaced the suspended Diallang Jaiyseimi but Nicky Clark came off the bench to score so could start here.
