- Dundee boss Tony Docherty named five changes to the Dee team that clinched an emphatic 4-1 victory at Livingston on Saturday afternoon, before they settled for a share of the spoils against Aberdeen at Pittodrie in midweek.
- Trevor Carson was reinstated in goal, replacing Harry Sharp between the sticks. Owen Beck signed for Dundee, on loan from Liverpool, for the second half of the campaign after impressing on Tayside and appearing for the Reds this season.
- Dara Costelloe, Fin Robertson and the suspended Luke McCowan made way for Lyall Cameron and Malachi Boateng to come back into midfield. Zach Robinson also replaced Scott Tiffoney to partner Amadou Bakayoko up front.
- Hearts boss Steven Naismith made three changes after the Jambos got the better of this weekend's opponents in a crazy five-goal thriller at Tynecastle, before a 2-0 victory over Aberdeen in Edinburgh on Saturday afternoon.
- Craig Halkett made way as the Jambos switched to a four-at-the-back formation. Aidan Denholm limped off injured against Dundee, so was sat amongst the substitutes at the weekend. Kenneth Vargas also dropped onto the bench.
- In came Alan Forrest on the left, Yutaro Oda on the right-hand side. Jorge Grant, who slotted home the opener from the spot, supported Lawrence Shankland who sealed the deal for the Jambos against Aberdeen in attack.
