Team News

Livingston
Ross County
  • Davie Martindale named seven changes to the Livingston team that knocked Raith Rovers out of the Scottish Cup with a 2-1 win in West Lothian, before they were hammered at home by Dundee as they lost 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.
  • Michael McGovern made his Livingston debut between the sticks, replacing Shamal George in goal. Ayo Obileye and debutant Shaun Donnellan joined Michael Nottingham in the back three, replacing Mo Sangare and Mikey Devlin.
  • Dan MacKay and James Penrice replaced Jamie Brandon and Cristian Montaño on the flanks. Steven Bradley supported Bruce Anderson as Scott Pittman and Kurtis Guthrie made way. Tete Yengi scored his first Livi goal so is pushing for a start.
  • Ross County boss Derek Adams named five changes to the Staggies side that was knocked out of the Scottish Cup in a 3-0 defeat to Partick Thistle as a sole goal was enough to see Celtic beat them at Parkhead on Saturday afternoon.
  • Cameron Borthwick-Jackson made his debut at left back, signing on loan from Polish outfit Slask Wroclaw, replacing George Harmon. Loick Ayina started at centre back, joining Will Nightingale as Ryan Leak dropped out. James Brown returned at right-back for Connor Randall.
  • Teddy Jenks was the third County debutant in midfield, partnering Eli King in front of the back four as Max Sheaf made way. Brandon Khela started on the right hand side of midfield, taking Josh Sims' place.

Prediction

  • The bottom two teams go toe-to-toe at the Tony Macaroni in midweek as Livingston, who are bottom of the Premiership pile, host a Ross County side who occupy the relegation playoff place.
  • After Livingston won in the Scottish Cup, the Lions had hoped to take the positives from that victory back into league duty. But they were demolished by Dundee at home which is a defeat that has them worried for their top tier status. The Staggies have two games in hand on Livi, who simply have to win this game to prolong their Scottish Premiership stay for another season at least.
  • As far as Ross County are concerned, their weekend trip to Glasgow was pretty much a free hit. Not expected to go to Celtic Park and claim a point, they can extract some positives from Parkhead having lost by just a goal. This midweek match isn't a must-win, given their games in hand on the hosts, but a victory could mean avoiding automatic relegation just like last season.
  • The previous league meeting ended in a 1-1 draw in Dingwall but Ross County will want to secure all three points this time around and leave Livingston in the lurch.
