- Dundee boss Tony Docherty made three changes from Dundee picking up their second league win of the season as they beat Livingston 2-0 in West Lothian, before they were hammered at home 5-0 by Rangers at Dens Park on Wednesday.
- Jordan McGhee dropped onto the bench, as Ricki Lamie took his place as the Dee shifted to a back five. Lyall Cameron was also sat amongst the substitutes, as Scott Tiffoney was at the tip of Dundee's five-man midfield.
- The other alteration was their sole striker, as Zak Rudden also made may from the starting eleven. Amadou Bakayoko was the man chosen to lead the line for Dundee against Rangers in midweek.
- Davie Martindale named six changes to the Livingston team that lost 2-0 to Dundee at the Tony Macaroni Arena last weekend, before they lost their midweek match 1-0 to Hearts at Tynecastle.
- Jack Hamilton replaced Shamal George between the sticks against his former club. Miles Welch-Hayes was handed a first league start for the Lions in the back four, taking the suspended Cristian Montaño's place.
