Team News

Hibernian
Ross County
  • Nick Montgomery made two changes from the Hibernian team that was thumped 4-0 by Rangers at Ibrox, before they held league leaders Celtic at home in a 0-0 stalemate at Easter Road on Saturday.
  • Rocky Bushiri replaced Paul Hanlon in the backline in order to join Lewis Miller, Will Fish and Jordan Obita in front of David Marshall. Joe Newell and Jimmy Jeggo continued as the midfield two in front of the back four.
  • The only other alteration saw Jair Tavares be handed a rare start, on the right hand side of midfield. Élie Youan continued on the left hand side, as Martin Boyle pushed up to join Dylan Vente in attack.
  • Ross County boss Malky Mackay named three changes to the Staggies side which played in a goalless stalemate at Dens Park against Dundee, before a thrilling 3-3 draw at Fir Park against Motherwell at the weekend.
  • George Harmon came in to the starting eleven - at left-back - to join James Brown, Jack Baldwin and Ryan Leak in the County defence. Scott Allardice joined Victor Loturi, Connor Randall and Yan Dhanda in midfield.
  • And in attack, Eamonn Brophy was handed a start and took his chance as he fired County in front. His strike partner Simon Murray then fired the Staggies two to the good. Out dropped Dylan Smith, Ben Purrington and Jordan White.

Prediction

  • The only Scottish Premiership match on Tuesday night sees Hibernian host Ross County at Easter Road, both teams looking to get back to winning ways after picking up a point at the weekend.
  • Hibernian's draw at the weekend was more credible than County's, as they became just the second team to take a point from league leaders Celtic this season. Hibs are winless in four league games, but a victory here could see them move into the top six, even if for less than 24 hours. A commanding performance, and win, should set them up nicely for the League Cup semi-final.
  • As for Ross County, they've only got themselves to blame for throwing away two precious points at the weekend. They could've arrived at Easter Road ahead of Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership table but currently occupy the dreaded relegation playoff place. It's still early but, St Johnstone have made a managerial change, so the Staggies have to start picking up points soon.
  • Ross County won on their last visit to Easter Road, as Hibs picked up four points from two league games in Dingwall last season, but hosts Hibernian will want a win prior to the weekend.
