Team News

Celta Vigo
Las Palmas
  • Luca de la Torre and Renato Tapia are the latest additions to the injury table, with the first being the most likely to have the sooner return.
  • Hugo Sotelo was solid in the Betis defeat and should keep his place next to Fran Beltran.
  • Jorgen Strand Larsen notched his eleventh goal of the season against Betis last Friday and will continue to build his dominance and confidence up top.
  • Alvaro Valles returns from his suspension to provide some much needed stability between the sticks for Las Palmas.
  • Saul Coco is suspended after being sent off in the 2-0 loss to Sevilla, whilst Marvin Park will be absent in attack thanks to one too many yellow cards.

Prediction

  • Celta Vigo bravely push on to yet another vital six pointer in their bid for guaranteed safety on Saturday, licking their wounds from the trip to Real Betis last week. Their chances are notable, though, as visitors Las Palmas have failed to win a game of football since the 10th of February - a disappointing few months for them after such a formidable rise.
  • If results were to go their way this weekend, Celta could go six points clear of relegation, levelling with Rayo Vallecano in 16th. Little separated the two last time out in the Canaries but a late Cardona goal helped Las Palmas to victory. Celta look spritely and hungry in attack at the moment, whilst Las Palmas have failed to even score a goal in four matches.
  • Celta should take advantage of the visitors' dismal form, and will definitely be kicking themselves if they drop points in this one.
