Team News

Sevilla
Girona
  • Loïc Bade will return to Sevilla's starting XI following a one-match ban.
  • Adrià Pedrosa will likely come in for Marcos Acuña. The Argentine was hooked at half time and is still heavily linked with a move to Aston Villa thanks to former boss' Unai Emery's pull.
  • Fernando should come in for Joan Jordán, who did not impress on his first league start last week.
  • Cristhian Stuani will likely start up front for Girona, having scored two goals in a flawless victory over Getafe last week.
  • The club, however, have a lengthy injury list, and are limited for differing options this week.
  • The starting XI should be completely unchanged for the game against Sevilla.

Prediction

  • Sevilla have had a very poor start to the season, and are vulnerable going into the game against Girona at el Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan. The visitors themselves are coming off the back of a fantastic victory against Getafe, having scored three goals, keeping a clean sheet too.
  • Sevilla have been plagued by poor team chemistry and in being sloppy in possession. Moreover, a handful of their top players have been linked with moves away. Most recently, Youssef En-Nesyri has been targeted by West Ham as the club look to formalise a deal. Sevilla, very much in turmoil at the moment, is something Girona can capitalise on.
  • Girona are in hot scoring form and Sevilla conceded four goals against Alaves on Monday. It doesn't look promising for Mendilibar's side.
